The Ripple Effect Academy
A foundation in nervous system awareness, stress and trauma informed practice, somatic tools and breathwork facilitation. For any human who holds space for others, no matter what they facilitate.
There are plenty of courses that just teach you techniques. This isn't that.
Foundations Training is about building the foundational understanding that makes you genuinely safe and skilled to hold space for others, no matter what you facilitate. Whether you're a breathwork facilitator, yoga teacher, coach, community leader, parent, or stepping into this kind of work for the first time, this training meets you where you are.
Over four weeks of online group calls plus an in person day, you'll develop a real working understanding of the nervous system, stress and trauma responses, somatic awareness and breathwork as a facilitation tool. Not just as concepts but as felt, embodied practices you can bring into your work and your life immediately.
While this training is designed with facilitators and practitioners in mind, the foundations you'll build here, understanding the nervous system, recognising stress and trauma responses, learning to regulate and attune, are skills that benefit any human who works closely with others or simply wants to show up more fully in their own life. You do not need to have experienced significant trauma for this to be deeply relevant. Stress lives in every nervous system. These tools are for everyone.
Each week builds on the last, moving from understanding to application to integration. The in person day brings everything together in the body, not just the head.
What it is, how it works, why it matters for anyone holding space. Understanding the states your clients and participants move through and what that actually looks and feels like in a real session.
What stress and trauma actually are and how they live in the body. Moving beyond the buzzword into a real, working understanding that changes how you read a room and how you respond to what arises.
Practical, body based tools you can bring into your facilitation immediately. Grounding, orienting, co-regulation and introductory breathwork facilitation. Learning to pace and attune rather than push.
Scope of practice, boundaries, knowing when something is beyond your container and what to do. Looking after your own nervous system as a facilitator so you can keep showing up sustainably.
A dedicated day together in person to integrate everything from the four weeks, practice with each other, ask the questions that can't quite be asked on a Zoom call, and land it all in the body rather than just the head. This is where the training becomes real.
90 minutes per week, intimate group. Real conversation, real questions, real learning between people who are all showing up for the same reason.
Each week includes a self study module with reading, embodiment practices and a reflection to complete and submit before the call. Plan to commit at least 2 hours per week to this, it is where the real learning happens.
Held at Monty's House, a luxury private property in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. A day of embodied integration in an extraordinary space. Included in your investment.
Intentionally small. You will be known, seen and supported throughout, not lost in a large cohort.
Weekly calls every Wednesday 6.30pm to 8.00pm AEST. Intake closes 23 September 2026 so all students are onboarded and prepared before we begin.
Pathway Credit — Foundations is the natural entry point into the full comprehensive Trauma and Somatics Practitioner Training launching at the start of 2027. Your $1,000 investment carries forward as a full credit toward that training, and more importantly, gives you the embodied foundation to be truly ready for it.
The Shared Path Retreat — Foundations runs alongside The Shared Path Retreat, a three day luxury immersive retreat for men and women in Montville this November. Many students find that experiencing the work in a retreat container deepens their facilitation training in ways that are hard to describe. Learn more at thesharedpath.netlify.app
